2008 St Mary’s House Block Cabernet Sauvignon

St. Mary’s House Block’s reputation for its full flavoured style continues in the 2008 House Block Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is black cherry in colour with deep ruby hues.  The bouquet is an enticing mixture of ripe, blackcurrant fruit characters complemented by gentle integrated French Oak.  The 2008 St. Mary’s House Block Cabernet shows pleasing balance and will reward careful cellaring for some years.

2008 St Mary’s Carillon

This wine was made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 40% Shiraz grapes hand picked from the austere limestone caps of the terra rossa ridge in St Mary’s vineyard during the first week of April 2008. St Mary’s Carillon has a strong plum colour with deep purple hues with a rich, spicy bouquet, enhanced by maturation in French oak hogsheads for 16 months.

2008 St Mary’s Petit Verdot

Made from partially cordon cut grapes, the wine is a black cherry colour with deep ruby hues.  The bouquet is an enticing mixture of ripe blackcurrant fruit characters complemented by gentle integrated French Oak.  The wine has a powerful but elegant palate, with a long lingering finish. While the 2008 St. Mary’s Petit Verdot shows pleasant balance and structure while young, it will mature gracefully for years.
